Established (born) in 1980 to deeply loving parents. Her mother had 7 children. When she speaks of her family she lights up from the inside. Particularly when she talks about her parents "Everyone needs to meet my parents. They are the best most incredible people." When she shares the love and beauty of her childhood, it does make me want to meet the humans who loved her so well.
She shared...every morning her mother would give her children a gentle "10 minutes until you have to wake up" to get ready for school softness.
Each morning, she had a choice between a cool or warm cloth to apply to her face. There was also tea or chocolate after that. In addition to this, when the winter came, there were warmed up little robes ready and waiting.
As she was sharing my heart felt so full. How incredibly beautiful to be treated with such loving care by your mother.
7 gentle wake up calls
7 warm or cool cloths
7 cups of tea or chocolate
7 toasty warm robes.
To have a mother love you in that way was beyond beautiful to me and as a mother myself...I was deeply touched.
Although Elizabeth wasn't born with a desire to birth babies...her generous spirit and kind nature towards the people that she loves is very similar. She's very special.
Out of all of the stories shared...this was my favorite.
Now about Maui.....
It was Elizabeth's dear friend Colette Coco (we call her Coco) who wanted to take us to her absolute favorite place.
To reach Little Beach, you keeping going, climb up a cliff and when you look back....this is what you see
As we turned the corner the first thing I saw was a few naked men who just happen to remind me of Jesus. In fact, there in Maui, on Little beach, that seems to be where men who embody and look just like Jesus gather... I'm not kidding. One after the other. I was mesmerized by this. The image I have of Jesus...these men fed right into that, therefore, I felt vulnerable and susceptible. These men could easily influence me. I need to be very careful here!!!
Me "Do you think Jesus had a 6 pack?"
Elizabeth "Of course he did...he did work Miracles"
I actually sat for hours observing the men. I was noticing their absolute bodily freedom. I began to see men gathering in three's having conversations naked with complete ease as they connected, laughed and of course, kept touching themselves. Not in any perverted way, just that thing that men do.
It seems to be no different without clothing. In fact, there was no judgement and zero perversion. There was a lot of peace, acceptance, ease and no one cared what anyone else was doing, wearing, not wearing...The level of freedom in that space was really incredible. I am a lover of freedom and people who radiate that. So for me, I felt at home energy wise.
Was I able to be that free? Not completely, no. I've been topless on other beaches in other places, that's not a big deal (places like the Dominican Republic) which was very liberating.
But I realized I was selective about it and those were private beaches.
I was able to do some topless moments on Little Beach but as the beach got more and more crowded, I realized we actually set our tent up right next to where the drum circle was held. This meant everyone began to gather right by us and I felt something around that.
Like "Christina, being dressed is good." So I went with what felt good to me.
It was wonderful for me to experience myself in this way. I loved every second of my experience that day...
A Drum Circle on the Full moon...now that really made my day!
I don't have images but I found some on-line that I can share...
The crowd got thicker and thicker as everyone began to dance.
This is when the fire dancing began..which was also incredible.
As the sun went down...Elizabeth and I waited for her friend Coco to arrive. Coco lives in Maui. She was gracious in allowing us to stay in her home.
Coco, from the moment I met her until the moment we left her house..reminded me of.....
"As a fairy, Tink can fly and produce fairy dust, which allows others to fly. She is described as being a tinker, meaning that she mends pots, kettles and acorn caps, and is shown to be very skilled, gifted and talented at it too"
Tinker Bell is devoted and loyal to those she loves."
These two beautiful women (Elizabeth and Coco) both in their mid-thirties... already have their sisterhood consciousness down. They really love each other and at this time in both of their lives...they are in that place...that incredible place of loving a man deeply... And we all know I LOVE LOVE...so for me, being around two incredible women who are oozing on the inside over the men in their lives....That's one of my favorite things. To be around that...
When I listen to both women share...what captures me the most in their love stories...is their love affair with themselves and how they were both completely fulfilled in every area of their lives when Love knocked on their doors. They were not searching for, they were already full and in being already full...love came knocking....
Mmmmmmhmmmm I LOVE THIS
And so, when I think of why people see me as loving Maui...I can totally see why. The peace, love, freedom and non judgmental flow. That actually is right up my alley.
For now though...I am in love with Waikiki/Honolulu/Oahu.
Who knows what the future holds for me...not I.
But I can say...I fell in love with Maui too. That's 2 Islands down...I have a few more to go.
