First Group Date
Lucas won. Mostly because he stayed focused on the purpose and reason for the game…
The most fascinating part of this particular group date was how…as soon as these guys were led into “Husband/Dad” mode/game. Their ability to be romantic with Rachel, dropped off…. they just were just not bringing it
She states very clearly “I want romance, spark and all of that…..”
And guess who got the Rose? Dean did. Mmmmmcmmm
Wanting a Husband and a Family doesn't really mean these amazing women want to be bored...
LOVE Her date with Peter. They were adorable. Both having the front tooth gap thing which is really cute, and then they went into sharing openly their journey through therapy after difficult breakups.
Peter gave Rachel Butterflies. This is good news!!!!
NEXT GROUP DATE:
Rachel handled the Jerry Springer moment like a champ. This is the level of knuckle head-ish behaviour with men. For me, he represents so much about the player who can't be honest about being a player. He usually thinks he's wicked smart but...he would actually be smarter if he just said "I am a player"
That was all very bio-stepmom / Dad triangle stuff being played out on TV prior to procreation.
I bet he could have cleaned that whole thing up if he had just looked at the woman and said "You're right. I made you think there was more there than there was. It was cowardly of me to lead you on in that way. Truth is, I call everyone baby, it doesn't have all this meaning for me. That's just how I talk."
And to Rachel, "I'm sorry for this and how this is impacting you. I can't imagine how this is making you feel and I'm sure you see me differently now. I'm sorry to have brought this into your experience and journey of trying to find your life partner."
Instead of all that victim hood, poor me and how his character is being assassinated-he really could have showed up-owned himself fully and turned that whole thing around.
And the woman herself "Karma is a bitch" she spits out.. Dear Lord. The drama.
He embodies that "Its complicated" world I was just writing about. Imagine waking up one day seeing the guy who told you he was working on it or himself and instead he's on a show trying to win the woman.
That whole scene-every part -Eek.
It's really not complicated at all if you're full of integrity. If you speak your truth in reverent ways.
The beautiful turn around for Rachel was the way all the other men had empathy and compassion for her. How they all moved in naturally to make her laugh and feel good. And how they all know now, this is not a woman you mess around with.
That is exactly what I've been saying about men "cleaning my grid" it's the same thing and these guys were so cute in the way where they just wanted to make her feel better.
His returned offered her the opportunity to say what she needed to say to him to reach a level of closure, leaving her empowered. I'm like..
YESSSSSSSSSSSSS. I was SO proud of her!!!
She's a ROCK STAR!!!!!
Men show women who they are..in each moment. She's clear...
And Lucas..for me, he's just not someone I see her with...
And don't you know...she lets them both go...also as I wanted her to do...I'm really liking her decisions a lot. These guys blaming each other instead of leaning in to see..their focus on each other was the problem. What a turn off that whole thing was....
I can't watch anymore at this time. I will have to catch up to the rest of week 3 and all of week 4 at another time.
